Create a New Team
Welcome to FPT! Our network is built of passionate and dedicated leaders; we would love to have you. If you don't already see your school or community on this list, keep scrolling to learn more about creating a new team.
How To Create a New Team
We're so glad you're interested in FPT! To begin the process of creating a new team, follow the steps below.
STEP 1
First, take the time to learn more about our mission and initiatives. Follow @freeperiodtalk on Instagram, browse our website, or reach out to co-Directors Louisa Corbett (louisa_corbett26@milton.edu) and Rhia Patel (rhia_patel26@milton.edu) with any questions.
STEP 2
The next step is to fill out a new Team Leader application form.

STEP 3
After you submit your application, we'll get back to you shortly to set up an interview and/or discuss further steps.
STEP 4
Once you've been confirmed as Team Leader, it's time to start building your team! We ask that all Team Leaders recruit at least five Team Members within the first two months of creating their team.
What Does Being a Team Leader Look Like?
We realize that all schools have different restrictions regarding club formation, so we do not require FPT teams to be official clubs at their schools—although if you are able to officially register your team as a club, that is an excellent step to take!

So, what does your role as Team Leader look like?
1 / Monthly Team Leader Network Meetings
About once a month, all Team Leaders must attend Zoom meetings with the FPT Executive Board and Directors to discuss teams' progress and upcoming initiatives.
2 / Forming and Leading a Team
We ask that all Team Leaders recruit at least five additional Team Members within two months of forming their team. Additionally, all Teams should meet at least once every other week; you as Team Leader lead those meetings.
3 / Engaging Your Community
Every Team's journey looks a little different. While all Teams meet weekly or bi-weekly, some are official school clubs while some meet after school hours in-person and on Zoom. Some teams' capacity to host events are limited, so they focus primarily on educating their communities, while other teams host numerous product drives and speaker events annually. If you have ideas, we'd love to hear them; we strive to meet you where you're at.
